The Township of Highland is located on the western border of Oakland County astride M-59, the major east-west highway. The Township is a mix of open farmland, a wide range of residential living options, state recreation land and more than twenty-five lakes.

What's Happening:
Zoning Ordinance Amendments
The Planning Commission is completing work on Ordinance Z-003, which amends the Zoning Ordinance to clarify issues relative to land use permits and signage, adds new options for temporary land uses and alters some requirements for industrial land uses.     more
Now Accepting Bids for bi-fold partition
Highland Township is now accepting bids for the furnishing and installation of a bi-fold partition for the Highland Adult Activity Center (209 N. John Street). The project is to be federally funded through the Community Development Block Grant program.     more
Public Hearing for the Draft Non-Motorized Pathway Master Plan
Highland Township is holding a public hearing May 9, 2012 on the adoption of the Pathway Master Plan and we welcome your comments.     more
Annual Beautification Plant Sale
Our annual plant sale will be held May 19, 2012 between 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM behind the Senior Center. We will have a wide variety of plants available and will answer questions to ensure you choose the right plant for your yard. We look forward to seeing you.     more
