Highland Township is soliciting bids for the installation of sanitary sewer and watermain for South Milford Road. The project is intended to provide service throughout the Highland Station area and south throughout the DDA District. The project also extends east and west along M-59 to serve commercial and industrial properties. Five pump stations and nearly four miles of 12-inch force main are included in the project.
The project includes subprojects to provide a low pressure grinder pump station to serve Lower Pettibone Lake and to replace the community septic systems at Prestwick with municipal service.
Plans are available for contractors in early August, with bids due in Mid-September. Click here to view the detailed advertisement, which is published in the Milford Times and Michigan Contractor and Builder.
Contractors are further advised that separate projects will be advertised soon for the construction of a 300,000 gallon per day Wastewater Treatment Facility; and a wellhouse, water treatment plant and 500,000 gallon elevated water storage tank.
