In 2009 Highland Township updated the Highland Recreational Plan. As the #1 goal of the Recreation Plan, Highland will strive to meet the needs of pedestrians, bicylists, equestrians and other users. To meet the pedestrian needs, Highland is working on adopting a Non- Motorized Pathway Master Plan as an addendum to the Recreation Plan.
