Highland Township owns and operates two cemeteries. Highland Cemetery is located just north of M-59 on Milford Road. West Highland Cemetery is located approximately two miles south of M-59 on Hickory Ridge Road.

Both cemeteries are managed by our sexton. Call Huron Cemetery Maintenance at (248) 887-6700 for information about available plots. Grave sites are $500 each for Highland Township residents, or $1000 each for non-residents.

If you or a family member own a gravesite and need assistance in researching or replacing a deed, please contact the Clerk's office.

Transfers of gravesite deeds can also be handled through the Clerk's office. Complete form 1, plus form 2 or 3 (as appropriate). The forms must be signed by all legal heirs, and returned with the original deed and a $20 transfer fee ($500.00 for non-resident).
