The Planning Commission is a nine-member panel with a variety of duties including:
- Writing and updating the Comprehensive Land Use Plan (Master Plan)
- Conducting public hearings on development proposals, rezoning applications and
proposed zoning ordinance amendments
- Reviewing and approving site plan proposals
- Drafting new zoning regulations
- Evaluating applications for rezoning and offering recommendations to the Board of Trustees
The Planning Commission members are appointed by the Township Board of Trustees to serve a three-year term.
Planning Commission members are residents of the Township, representing various interests in the area.
The Planning Commission typically meets on the first and third Thursdays of each month at 7:30 p.m. in the Township Auditorium.
