Highland Township is now accepting passport applications in the Clerk's and Treasurer's Offices. First time applicants will need to provide the following: 1) proof of US citizenship, (2) proof of identity, (3) two photographs, and (4) the appropriate fees. For children under age 17, both parents, or the child's legal guardian(s) must appear and present the following: (1) evidence of child's US citizenship (2) evidence of child's relationship to parents or guardian(s), (3) parental identification, and (4) the appropriate fees. Please be prepared to pay your fees with one check or money order made payable to the U.S. Department of State for the passport fee ($55 to $75 per passport) and cash, check, or a money order made payable to Highland Township for the execution fee ($25 per passport).
You may also apply for the new "passport card" although they will not be issued until later this year. Please come prepared with the same information needed for a traditional passport application, although the fees are less.
For your convenience, Highland Township does offer passport photos for a fee of $10.
